Finals!

Since final exams are quickly approaching, we would like you to create some helpful study materials for you and your classmates.  It's up to you what you want to do, but some examples are to create a set of flashcards, a slideshow, annotated notes, a screencast recording, a video...the possibilities are endless.  Once you create your study "guide," show it to your teacher and get their approval.  Once they approve it, share it with your classmates by email or by giving them a link.  After that, please describe what you did in the comments below.  Include any links in your comment.  If your study materials can't be included in your comment, email them to Amy.
So, in review, this is what you need to do by April 30th:
1. Create study aide for one class.
2. Show to your teacher and get his/her ok.
3. Share with classmates.
4.  Write about what you did on this blog.  Share your material in your comment or by sending to Amy.

  3. I made flashcards for my bio final on my Flashcards++ app and uploaded them from there onto quizlet. This is really going to help me study for the final my friends too since they're going to use the quizlet (Oh, and my teacher's Magnus), and it was really easy which is especially nice when there's 80 cards. 4. I made photography flash cards using Flashcards+, and got my teacher's approval, but I cannot figure out a way to upload them to quizlet or even send/email them.
I found a set of cards on quizlet very similar to the ones I made, so I emailed those to my classmates. Here's the link: http://quizlet.com/2602039/basic-photo-i-flash-cards/

  5. I used flashcard+ to make flashcards for my vocabulary words. I turned them into my teacher. This app is great for making the flashcards, and keeps everything organized because you have multiple decks organized by subject.

In my Spanish class, the only vocabulary eligible for our final is vocabulary that has been used on previous tests. I got my old tests from my teacher, then made a Quizlet with all of the vocabulary. I then emailed the link to my teacher to forward to all my classmates.

  10. I made flashcards for my chemistry final. I made the flashcards in the app Mental Case, and then exported them as an Excel document. From there, I could import them fairly easily into Quizlet. I couldn't import the pictures in my original flashcards, and I prefer studying and making cards on my iPad, but Quizlet is easier for my classmates to access. I've cleared the flashcards with my teacher and sent the links to the rest of my class. Below are the links to the flashcards (one for each unit we studied):

  13. I basically made an extensive study guide for my Algebra 2 class. I compiled all my notes using Notability. It was really easy because all I had to do was copy/paste the notes from other notes into one final study guide. I showed it to Jen, my teacher, and she was pleased and approved. She was glad to see that the iPad could be used effectively for Math. I am forwarding the study guide to the people in my math class.

  19. For my finals in World Religions, each group was to do a presentation of a specific religion and on the final day, all students will take a test on the presentations. My group had Confucianism and we did a powerpoint. However, I put together an outline of Confucianism notes for students to review and pull out the important information inorder to prepare for the test. The outline is on the Ipad Group page on firstclass.

  20. In the junior High there aren't finals, so I made a study guide for my science test at the end of the year. I created flash cards, which were very helpful for the different vocabulary words we had to know. I also used the iPad for looking up different things we were learning and had to know for the test.

  21. I, like many others, made a quizlet. I find quizlets to be an incredibly useful study method. I used quizlet to make flashcards for our last test in science. I went over the various terms and questions that we needed to know the answers to. It was a great way to study and it helped me a lot.

  22. I also made a quizlet. I am having many Spanish tests with Conjugations. So I made my favorite set using 'ir' Conjugations, which means 'to go', or 'you go.'I think this will be very helpful, because it's not too long, and using quizlet a lot in many different ways can help you get what you need to learn faster, and able to stay in your brain.

  23. I made flashcards for all the math terms we learned this year. I didn't get to send them out to people because we didn't have a final and by the time I had finished the assignment all we had was 1 small quiz left, but my math teacher liked them. I used flashcardlet. It is a great app for all subjects and it is pretty simple to figure out.

  24. i created a study guide on my ipad for the science test we had. it consisted of the material our teacher Elizabeth gave us and some of the material we had learned previously. There were two copies of the study guide i made, one containing the questions, and one containing the answers to them. i think this helps really show and stick the data. i sent a few of my friends the copies, but I do not think they had enough time to use them.

  25. I created a set of flashcards for my Word Religions test in Flashcardlet+. I really like the app, because you can put whatever you want on the flashcards, and you aren't limited to a certain number of words. I shared my set with everybody who has an iPad or an iPhone, and I know that Max really liked the set (we made them together.) I like the app because we could swipe through the cards with ease, and it was almost a fun app to use.
