  1. Overall, I have found the ebooks to be very helpful. I really enjoy them because this way I don't have to carry three heavy textbooks and my lit books around. However, when I was first trying to get all of my ebooks downloaded, I found it to be very stressful and annoying since you have to get almost all of the books on different websites or places. But overall, I think the ebooks are great because now I can't forget my books anywhere since they are all on the iPad. Also, now I have a lot of weight off of my shoulders. I am very happy with ebooks!

  2. I really like ebooks because of the fact that you can carry a lot more books around digitally then you can physically. Even though ebooks are great there are still some cons about it for me. One of the cons of having an ebook is that sometimes the app will randomly crash and although it usually saves the page that you were on it can still be a little be a little frustrating when you are really into the book. Still, I have to give it to apple because even though I do like the feeling of holding a real book, ebooks can be useful when it comes to school. If you download iBooks (which is the app that I use)you will be able to access a variety of PDF's and books.
Recently I got an ebook called "The Secret Life of Bees" on iBooks for lit. I have mainly been reading literature on my iPad because can be very efficient. I found this out because when you for lit I have to take notes on the chapter that we have to read for the class, and instead of shuffling around for a piece of paper to record my notes on I can just highlight what is important and leave my notes next to the highlighted area. And to me that makes this app a little bit better. One thing I do suggest is that you get iBooks instead of Kindle for the iPad. I'm not really sure how to use the Kindle application but I do know that you have to set up an account and it would just be easier to use iBooks with your apple account instead.

  3. I also enjoy using eBooks on my iPad. My favorite eTextbook this year is my biology textbook - besides costing $85 less than the print textbook, it weighs much less and is interactive and easy to use. The book is packed with videos, interactive graphics, quizzes, and more. Plus, highlighting is easy and useful. I've never read a full lit book on my iPad but hope to in the future - highlighting and note-taking right in the book would be convenient. The one problem would be page numbers for citing quotes in class.

One book that I tried in eBook but was unable to use was my Spanish textbook - it went through a Flash-based website, which was not compatible with my iPad, and was different than the print textbook. Hopefully I'll be able to have more textbooks on my iPad in the coming years!
